Sam Tubito
Hello, I'm Sam Tubito, the proud owner and head baker here at Crust & Crumb. You can call me the Bread Boss. With a lifelong passion for baking, I've dedicated myself to perfecting the art, owning several businesses, and honing my craft alongside industry experts.
My mission? To deliver nothing short of premium-quality artisan bread and sweets, crafted with care and passion.

Rooted in old-world tradition and refined by years of hands-on experience, Crust & Crumb brings artisan breads and pastries to life with passion for the art of baking.

Christine Tubito
Christine is the proud owner of Crust & Crumb Bakery, where tradition meets artisan craft. She honed her baking skills under the guidance of her husband—The Bread Boss. Her passion for the craft was deeply enriched by her sister-in-law, Maria Castoro, who introduced her to the rich culinary heritage of Altamura, Italy.
There, Christine immersed herself in the authentic techniques behind regional breads, pastas, and traditional foods—skills that continue to inspire her bread creations today.
History
Born into a family of bread makers and artisans who migrated from Italy, Sam began his journey at the renowned Altamura Bakery of Bayonne, N.J. Starting at the age of 14, it wasn’t long before his dedication and craft earned him the name “Bread Boss.”
Both Sam and Christine earned their certification licenses—Sam through the Institute of Culinary Education, where he trained under world-renowned Chef Simms of Balthazar Restaurant, and Christine at the prestigious International Culinary Institute of New York City under Chef Johnson.

Crust and Crumb was founded by the husband-and-wife team, the Tubitos—drawing on Sam’s expertise in brick oven baking and the introduction of artisan sourdough, paired with Christine’s own culinary flair and creativity. Together, they blend old-world tradition with fresh, flavorful innovation.
